Hysolate Closes 2018 with Strong Customer Traction for Disruptive Cybersecurity Isolation Platform

NEW YORK, Jan. 29, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Hysolate, pioneer of software-defined endpoints, today announced an impressive end to FY 2018. Less than one year after launching its disruptive cybersecurity isolation platform, Hysolate reported strong customer traction, business growth and industry accolades. The company attributes these gains to enterprises' urgent need to protect endpoint devices without sacrificing end-user productivity - and the inability of any other solution to meet this need.

"As we've seen in 2018, agent-based approaches do not stop sensitive information from being exposed. Privileged users are especially at risk. Using compromised machines for accessing the enterprise crown jewels lets hackers ride any authenticated session and inflict damage," said Tal Zamir, CEO, Hysolate. "Hysolate is revolutionizing how endpoints work, turning them into the secure, productive environments they were meant to be. With the Hysolate Platform, CISOs, IT leaders and end users all get what they need, with no productivity impairment and no risks. This is exactly what enterprises are looking for."

Hysolate's 2018 achievements include:

    -- Funding by A-List Investors

Hysolate closed $18 million in Series B funding, bringing the total raised to $26 million. The round, led by notable cybersecurity investment firms Bessemer Venture Partners and Innovation Endeavors, and including NGP Capital, is being used to facilitate sales, marketing and product development.

    -- Business Growth

Hysolate expanded its US operations to meet growing demand for its security and productivity platform, doubling its employee base. Customers, which have launched hundreds of thousands of virtual Hysolate environments, now include global leaders in technology, legal, telco and financial services based in the US, UK, Israel and Singapore. The company added sales and marketing professionals, including VP of Marketing Jessica Stanford, a cybersecurity expert who joined Hysolate from Cybereason and held previous roles at CyberArk and RSA Security.

    -- Cybersecurity Innovation

Hysolate re-architected how endpoints work. The Hysolate Platform, which was launched in January 2018, transforms end-user devices into the world's first software-defined endpoints, in which each endpoint has multiple isolated virtual environments. Endpoints are built on top of a slim hypervisor layer that uniquely sits below the device operating system. They're highly flexible, compatible and secure by design. Everything an end-user does happens in virtualized operating systems, running locally, side-by-side with full isolation.

The entire Hysolate experience is seamless for enterprise users, who are free to access, install and work with whatever websites, apps, external devices and cloud services they need, without being constrained by security restrictions and without exposing corporate assets. Applications automatically launch in the correct, designated virtual environment. To users, everything looks and acts like their familiar desktop.

In the months since its launch, Hysolate introduced new features for advanced security and usability. Hysolate added the option to use non-persistent VMs, which are wiped clean every time they boot. This prevents malware from persisting on the machine in the unlikely event of a compromise. In addition, a new power saving mode that activates when only one of the VMs is active, enhances user experience by improving performance and extending battery life. It also boosts security by reducing the attack surface.

    -- Accolades

According to Joseph Steinberg, renowned cybersecurity thought-leader, Hysolate can provide "two immediate, significant benefits. Cost savings and efficiency gains in environments in which people traditionally use two or more computers for security reasons... Improving security for people who today use a single computer for all of their computer tasks - and that includes the vast majority of people. [Hysolate's] introduction of VM-like capabilities at the endpoint could potentially revolutionize the way we think about desktop/laptop computer security."

In addition, Hysolate was honored to be named a finalist and audience favorite by the 2018 RSA Conference Innovation Sandbox, and has been featured in a variety of media outlets including Forbes, InfoSec Island, VentureFizz and Cyber Defense Magazine.
