Genesee County, New York, Chooses BridgeWave Wireless Point-to-Point Systems over Fiber for Backhaul Network

The County first used unlicensed multipoint equipment for its backhaul network, but as bandwidth needs increased and the reliability of the unlicensed solution waned, the County selected BridgeWave licensed systems for their higher reliability, throughput, and QoS capabilities. Gradually, working with BridgeWave Platinum partner Integrated Systems, the County replaced all unlicensed multipoint links with a variety of licensed frequency BridgeWave systems in the 18, 23, and 80GHz spectrums.

Most recently, Integrated Systems deployed BridgeWave's flagship 80GHz system for the County. The Flex4G-10000 delivers true fiber performance, 256-bit AES encryption for highest data security, and the highest system gain to ensure maximum throughput at the longest distances. In the near future, Integrated Systems will deploy BridgeWave's Navigator licensed microwave systems for the County. Navigator, which is built on the company's proprietary custom ASICs, provides network operators with unprecedented flexibility to support multiple configurations and applications, and will further optimize the County's network for high capacity, and dramatically decrease its capital and operating costs.
