LIA to Discuss Regulation, Photonics and the Future at ILSC 2019

ORLANDO, Fla., March 19, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Hosted by The Laser Institute (LIA), the premier 2019 International Laser Safety Conference (ILSC) will be featuring an afternoon session titled "Business Industry Session: Panel Discussions and Presentations" on Tuesday, March 19, 2019. A new addition to ILSC, today's session will feature panelists who represent some of this year's LIA Achievement in Laser Safety Education (ALSE) award winners across 10 industry categories.

The first panel presentation is titled "Regulating Consistent Safe Use of Lasers Through the US and Abroad: What If We Had Uniform Laws?". Moderated by LIA Education Director Gus Anibarro, panelists include Dr. Jacob Kamen from Mount Sinai, Jerry Bowles from Boeing, Russel Garcia from the University of Michigan, and Captain Patrick Hintz from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
