Los Angeles-based Western Pacific Storage Solutions unveils new product line of stairs, rails and gates under the SureSTEP brand name.

LOS ANGELES, June 18, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Western Pacific Storage Solutions (WPSS) is introducing its new line of steel stairs, gates and railings to the material handling world. Dedicated to serving the ever-growing needs and demands of warehouses and global supply chain managers, WPSS developed SureSTEP, a line of steel stairs, gates, and railing products to minimize risk for distribution center and warehouse employees and customers. The SureSTEP products match exact specs for every state in the country.

After exploring the market, Western Pacific Storage Solutions learned the need existed for stair, gate and railing products that addressed safety issues, met codes, but were less expensive than available options.

Code Requirements are Key

With the SureSTEP suite of stairs, WPSS engineered safety into its steps by adhering to the international code (IBC), as well as the codes of the specific state where the system would be installed. And, in California, where the codes (CBC) are stricter, design, connections, anchorage, and proximity to fault were examined to determine if additional bracing was needed.

SureSTEP options are available

SureSTEP treads use diamond plate with built in non-skid design. SureSTEP gates whether swing, sliding or lift are designed to open and close without risking safety. When in a closed position, gates can be designed to act as a guard rail. 

    --  SureSTEP stairs come in two standard widths: 34  and 36 ID (between
        handrails). The stair tower interfaces with WPSS multi-level pick
        modules and pallet rack pick modules.
    --  SureSTEP guard rails contain a galvanized post and sleeve system with
        posts welded to baseplates. Custom powder-coated colors are available
        and access can be standard or public.
    --  SureSTEP gates are available in widths of 4 , 5 , 6  and 8 . Custom
        sizes and powder-coated colors are available.

Western Pacific's SureSTEP products are enabling multi-level distribution centers and warehouses to experience financial savings by considering levels of storage above the open (dead) space that currently exists within most 40' tall warehouse facilities.

With stairs meeting all IBC codes, custom design kickplates, labor-saving flashing and a variety of gates, storage space can move "UP" into the 40' tall spaces. Owners can stop looking for new land, or for a new building or any of the challenges that come with moving their businesses.
