ParentSquare Introduces Auto Notices to Help Districts Send Personalized Student Notices to Families

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Aug. 13, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- ParentSquare has introduced a new feature that enables schools to send automated messages to parents with student-specific information. While ParentSquare's platform already provided schools the ability to send notices regarding lunch balances and attendance, this new feature allows automatic, student-customized notices for any need -- such as truancy letters, overdue book fees, and student athlete physicals. Automating notices to parents helps facilitate smoother school functioning and enables students to stay on track for success.

Schools can use merge fields to include student-specific information, such as students' names or the exact number of times a student was absent. Parents receive these notices by app notification, text, email or a voice call, depending on their preferences. In-depth reporting metrics allow admins to track the delivery status of notices, so schools can identify if any parents did not receive the communication, and subsequently contact those individuals through other means.

Previously, many schools would have to create, print out and manually mail student-specific notices home. This comes with printing costs -- both financial and environmental -- as well as time spent on manual, laborious tasks.

With ParentSquare, schools can easily send these notices home by creating and saving a template and defining an automated schedule. For example, schools can automate the process to send out truancy letters every Friday at 1pm to students who were truant that week. By automating these student- and time-specific notices, office personnel can focus their efforts on more meaningful tasks. Additionally, schools can reduce their paper consumption, supporting green initiatives and lowering printing costs.

ParentSquare combines this feature with the platform's Secure Document Delivery technology, providing one place "Student Notices" within ParentSquare to send all types of student-specific information home.
