FBE Premieres Interactive Digital Mini-Series, "Epic Night"

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 21, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- FBE, an award-winning new media studio with 34 million digital subscribers, in partnership with the leader in choice-driven entertainment, eko, premiered their four-part, interactive mini-series, "Epic Night."

As one of the first interactive romantic comedies, "Epic Night" follows four friends who are trying to make the most of their last night in college while navigating broken hearts, last chances and an unlikely visit to an epic music festival. Viewers take the director's chair and dictate exactly how the night plays out by making story decisions every 60-90 seconds. Will the leading character comfort a heartbroken friend or chase his longtime crush to reveal his truth? With interactive content, only viewers decide.

Starring a great cast of rising stars and digital talent, Jacob Latimore ("The Chi," "Maze Runner") plays Martin, our protagonist, who's stuck between romancing his crush and comforting a heartbroken friend. Sasha Pieterse ("Pretty Little Liars," "Inherent Vice"), Karan Brar ("Pacific Rim: Uprising," "Jessie") and Jessica Sula ("Split," "Scream") are friends who pull Martin in different directions, making the night's various decisions all the more critical.

"After over a decade of experimentation, we're thrilled to be producing a choice-driven series at this scale," said Benny Fine, Epic Night Executive Producer, and CCO of FBE. "Interactive content will be a big part of entertainment for years to come."

Directed by Andrew Rhymer (Plus One), produced by JP Quicquaro (Adam Ruins Everything) and Lisa Steen (Sundowners) and written by Scarlett Bermingham (Big Boy Pants) and Sierra Katow (Last Comic Standing), the series was shot in July throughout Los Angeles and covers 130-plus total minutes with each episode running 24 - 35 minutes, depending on viewer choices. The series hosts 12 possible endings and fuels 156,240 different variations. The project represents a marquee production by FBE's Interactive Content Lab, the company's digital division exclusively dedicated to the development, production, and sale of interactive content. In July 2019, FBE and eko extended their initial partnership to finance more than 12 pilots that explore viable narrative and story styles for the interactive format.

"eko has provided our team with the technology and creative autonomy to bring the ambitious story of 'Epic Night" to life," said Marc Hustvedt, CEO of FBE. "We're committed to entertaining today's audiences with modern formats and have dedicated significant resources to realize the potential behind interactive content. We're really excited to share this story with FBE fans across the globe and can't wait to see how they react."

Fans and curious audiences are encouraged to download the eko app or visit helloeko.com to enjoy all four episodes of Epic Night.
