BestRx Announces the Release of Real-Time Prescription Benefit Check for Pharmacies

The RTPB tool enables accurate and complete, patient-specific benefit information from the point-of-prescribing to the point-of-dispensing; allowing for better informed provider and patient medication choices, awareness of lower-cost medication options for patients and potential to improve medication adherence.
The RTPB feature is automatically integrated into the pharmacy's existing workflow. Now, without having to run test claims, pharmacists can find the most appropriate and cost-effective medication treatment options for patients based on their specific formulary and benefit coverage. In addition, the Real-Time Prescription Benefit tool allows pharmacists to identify details about: prior authorizations, lower-cost alternative medications and patient's out-of-pocket costs. As a result, pharmacies can help reduce medication abandonment and increase better health outcomes for patients.
