Marlena Fernandez First Senior Exec at Scale Computing to be Honored on CRN's 2020 Women of the Channel and Channel Power 100 Lists

INDIANAPOLIS, May 11, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Scale Computing, a market leader in edge computing, virtualization and hyperconverged solutions, announced today that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Marlena Fernandez, vice president of marketing, to its 2020 Power 100 list, an elite subgroup of standout individuals selected from the annual CRN® Women of the Channel list.

Each year's honorees are chosen by the CRN® editorial team from a vast pool of channel leaders based on their exceptional achievements, expertise, and commitment to supporting IT channel success. The Power 100 list features a select subset of extraordinary women who have inspired their peers through their thought leadership and tireless dedication to the advancement of their companies and the entire IT channel.

Fernandez joined the Scale Computing team in January 2019 and is the first executive from Scale Computing to be nominated to the CRN Women of the Channel list and the first to make the Power 100 list. In just over a year at Scale Computing, Fernandez has been an influential member of the executive team and an instrumental presence within the company, bringing insights she gained from more than 20 years of results-oriented global marketing experience to help Scale Computing reach its global content marketing, demand generation, brand management and sales goals.

Joining Scale Computing at a time when the company was evolving from hardware to software in the edge computing space, Fernandez was responsible for leading a complete overhaul of the company's corporate brand in 2019. The brand relaunch included new corporate messaging and branding guidelines, a refreshed website and the introduction of a new logo in support of the upmarket evolution and key strategy execution of the company.

Fernandez also played an instrumental role in the strong customer growth Scale Computing experienced across industries in 2019 and contributed to many of the company's successful partnerships. She has been a driving force behind the numerous accolades Scale Computing received over the past year, including award wins in the Converged/Hyperconverged Infrastructure and Desktop/Server categories of the CRN 2019 Annual Report Card (ARC) program. Scale Computing also won all subcategories entered in that program: Product Innovation, Support, Partnership and Managed/Cloud Services.

"Marlena's commitment to growing our business through the Scale Computing Partner Community is one of the many reasons she deserves this recognition. She has contributed to the success of our partner community by giving it the same attention and focus we put on our end users, skillfully communicating with partners to uncover changes they wanted to see in both the partner program and our products and then following through to make sure those changes were implemented," said Dave Hallmen, chief revenue officer, Scale Computing. "Marlena's leadership helped create many new international relationships in our partner program, doubled the North American channel partnerships and significantly increased the quantity of end customer transactions. With her dedication to the channel and our partners, we know Marlena will continue to grow the Scale Computing Partner Community to even greater heights."

"CRN's 2020 Women of the Channel list recognizes an accomplished group of influential women leaders whose strategic vision and unique achievements accelerate channel growth through cultivated partnerships, innovative thought leadership, and unwavering dedication to the IT channel," said Bob Skelley, CEO of The Channel Company. "We are proud to honor them for their accomplishments and contributions to driving channel success."

The 2020 Women of the Channel and Power 100 lists will be featured in CRN® Magazine on June 8 and online at http://www.CRN.com/WOTC.
