Spreadshirt Becomes Spread Group

Under its new umbrella brand, Spread Group, the company is now bringing together its five brands; Spreadshirt Create Your Own, Spreadshirt Marketplace, Spreadshop, TeamShirts and SPOD (Spreadshirt Print-On-Demand). The individual brands have long felt part of an international e-commerce group empowering self-expression. Now the new umbrella brand will help to share the message consistently with the rest of the world and develop the sense of belonging of the almost 1000 employees. The change from the corporate 'Spreadshirt' to Spread Group gives the consumer brand Spreadshirt the freedom to develop independently alongside Spreadshop, TeamShirts and SPOD.

Philip Rooke, CEO of Spread Group, says on the renaming, "In 18 years, Spreadshirt has developed from a small start-up brand to a group of leading print on demand brands connected by a global operation. As the group approaches the $200m revenue level with a large operation we need to reflect the success of the whole organisation in empowering self-expression and separate the business from the consumer brand."

Fresh color mix, fresh brand identity
The Spread Group brand combines the core values of the company: simplicity, empowerment and excitement. The focus is on the heart icon, called love tab, and 'Spread' as symbols of self-expression, quality and service. The designers of the umbrella brand have reinterpreted some striking colours from the individual brands for the look and feel. The tones visually refer to the individual brands and are combined accordingly.

Spread Group has its own corporate website in order to give the individual brands and their e-commerce platforms room to develop and grow. In addition to the central themes of self-expression and print on demand, the focus is on sustainability, career and news.
