Redshift Networks Completes Successful Interoperability Testing of STIR/SHAKEN Anti-Robocall Solution with the ATIS Robocalling Testbed

SAN RAMON, Calif., Nov. 19, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- RedShift Networks has successfully completed interoperability testing of its STIR/SHAKEN anti-robocall solution with the industry-leading ATIS Robocalling Testbed, hosted by the Neustar Trust Lab. RedShift Networks real-time STIR/SHAKEN Robocall blocking and auto mitigation includes Advance Fraud Interdiction (AFI) intelligence. AFI powers RedShift Networks' unique 3 million plus known bad Robocall-prevention database growing at 30,000 numbers daily.

STIR (Secure Telephony Identity Revisited) technical standards originate from the Internet Engineering Task Force to provide a means to certify the identity of originating calls. SHAKEN (Signature-based Handling of Asserted information using toKENs) is a framework developed by the Alliance of Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS) focused on STIR implementation within IP-based service provider networks.

Neustar has supported the ATIS Robocalling Testbed since February 2017 and it remains a critical element in the fight against Robocalls and illegal caller ID spoofing attack vectors. RedShift Networks successfully demonstrated their support and compliance with the STIR/SHAKEN initiative with the Testbed over this past August and September.

"Neustar is committed to providing a solution that meets the US Congress and FCC mandate for carriers to deploy call authentication solutions to battle robocalling and call-spoofing by June 2021," said James Garvert, Communications Solutions General Manager for Neustar. "As the exclusive host of ATIS Robocalling Testbed, we support leading industry participants, including Redshift Networks, and their demonstration of STIR/SHAKEN interoperability testing."

Neustar is a pioneer in call authentication as co-author of the STIR standards, contributor to the SHAKEN framework, and exclusive host of the ATIS Robocalling Testbed for testing STIR/SHAKEN interoperability. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) continues to aggressively encourage telecommunications industry leaders to address the scourge of spoofed calls, and the industry's response has resulted in the development of the STIR/SHAKEN standards and framework.

RedShift Networks uniquely implements STIR/SHAKEN standards combined with its patent approved technology that uniquely combines its behavioral analytics, real time scoring system, fingerprinting, fraud detection and threat intelligence database providing operators with a real-time, context driven visibility and protection in detecting and blocking these Robocalls. RedShift's technology involves multiple sophisticated algorithms, customer data sources, honeypots, and other mechanisms to detect robocalls globally.

"We are proud to demonstrate our unified communications threat management (UCTM) solution that prevents robocall propagation across the ATIS Robocalling Testbed for communications service providers, equipment manufacturers and software suppliers," said RedShift Networks' Co-Founder and CEO, Amitava Mukherjee.
