Software Users Review Accounting Software Vendors for Satisfaction, Revealing Top Five Through SoftwareReviews

TORONTO, Nov. 25, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- SoftwareReviews, a division of world-class IT research and consulting firm Info-Tech Research Group, has published its 2020 Accounting Software Data Quadrant Awards, naming five vendors as Gold Medalists. The following vendors are leaders according to the feedback provided by their end users via SoftwareReviews' comprehensive online survey. Vendors were rated on their product features, vendor capabilities, and the relationship with their software partner:

    -- FreshBooks
    -- AccountMate Enterprise
    -- QuickBooks Online
    -- Zoho Books
    -- Sage Intacct

What makes the SoftwareReviews Data Quadrant different? Inclusion of aggregated emotional response ratings in the areas of service, negotiation, product impact, conflict resolution, and strategy and innovation create a powerful indicator of overall user feeling toward the vendor and its product from the software users' point of view. SoftwareReviews calls this insight the Net Emotional Footprint.

"Accounting software is a diverse ecosystem. As a small firm, you use accounting software to start the automation of your financials. As the business grows, the accounting software becomes the heart of an Enterprise Resource Planning system. Some accounting software will grow with your business and others may only take you so far," says Robert Fayle, research director, Info-Tech Research Group. "Look for the functionality you need right now while looking at your growth over the next five years to pick a package that is right for your business."

FreshBooks, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +93, scored top product in many categories, specifically exceeding user expectations in project accounting and ease of implementation. AccountMate Enterprise, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +86, performed well overall, receiving outstanding responses on accounts receivable invoicing, dashboards, analytics and reporting, general ledger chart of accounts, and integration apps. QuickBooks Online, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +86, received very high scores in cost revenue tracking, expense management, accounts receivable invoicing, and ease of implementation. Zoho Books with a Net Emotional Footprint of +89, ranked strongly on quality of features, ease of customization, and product accounting. Sage Intacct with a Net Emotional Footprint of +87, excelled in business value created, ease of implementation, and product accounting.

In general, Accounting Software users were most satisfied with general ledger chart of accounts and business value created - and were most dissatisfied with budget forecasting, vendor support, and ease of data integration.
