Scholarships Available Now for Application for 2021 iaedp(TM) Symposium

PEKIN, Ill., Jan. 1, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp(TM)), recognized for its high-level education and training standards for eating disorders healthcare professionals, is announcing the availability of select scholarships to help as many as possible participate in the 36th annual iaedp(TM) Symposium, premiering virtually on March 18, 2021 and running 24/7 through September 1. Scholarships will be awarded during the first week of February 2021, so the time to apply is limited. All applicants will be contacted by email.

The iaedp(TM) scholarship opportunities include:

"Christine Hartline" - This scholarship covers the cost of one full symposium registration.

"Dick Wilson" - This scholarship covers the cost of one full symposium registration.

"Certification Committee" - These scholarships reduce the cost of one full symposium registration to $200.

"AAEDP Committee" - For Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), these scholarships reduce the cost of one full symposium registration to $200.

"Financial Aid" - These scholarships reduce the cost of one full symposium registration to $200. First-time iaedp(TM) Symposium attendees or iaedp(TM) members who have a financial hardship are eligible to apply.

"Erin Riederer Foundation" - This scholarship provides financial support towards completion of the iaedp(TM) Certification process. Preference is given to those clinicians operating in Wisconsin/Chicago-land area/Minnesota (treating Wisconsin-based patients). A scholarship also is being offered to a clinician in Australia. The Foundation awards a $1,000 check, which must be applied toward the cost of Certification, including the Symposium.

Now in its 36th year, the 2021 iaedp(TM) Symposium premieres on March 18, 2021. Because of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, iaedp(TM) will conduct the 2021 Symposium virtually, which allows all participants complete access to all Symposium sessions from the first day on March 18, 2021 to the last day on September 1, 2021. Highlights of the over 60 total sessions include: family involvement in eating disorders, the use of body language to interpret the relationship between exercise and eating disorders and insights into the relationship of brain development and eating disorders, among many others.
