AKMON S.A., is a wholly owned Greek corporation that specializes in defense electronics and also acts as an agent and consultant to both foreign and domestic companies active in the promotion and sale of products and services to the Helenic Armed Forces. AKMON was established in 1988 and operates from its manufacturing facility in the Industrial Park at Ano Liosia west of Athens with a staff of 40 high quality mechanical, electrical electronic engineers, skilled technicians and economists.

Its sphere of activities covers the range from manufacture, upgrade, rebuild to assembly of high technology telecommunications and electronic equipment.  From the onset it has on an ongoing basis engaged in co-production projects of high technology and electronic products, such as intercom systems, radios and training systems for the Greek Armed Forces.

AKMON has expanded its operations to include the manufacture of cables and harnesses for air, sea and land defense applications in accordance with the highest military standards p.e. manufacture of cables and harnesses for : HELLENIC ARMED FORCES, HAI, HDS, INTRAKOM, EADS, CASSIDIAN, THALES, PANHARD, LFK/EADS, KMW, TAURUS, SAAB, RHEINMETALL, EMBRAER

Our company is able to provide On-Site Maintenance Services for Aircrafts (C-130, F-16, M-2000, etc) and Helicopters (Super Puma, UH-1, etc). Our personnel consist of Certified and Skilled Engineers and Technicians with more than 20 years of experience.

AKMON´s Quality Management System was assessed and found to be in accordance with the requirements of the quality standards of ISO-9001 and AS/EN-9100. AKMON S.A. is also registered in “THE Registry of Defense Materiel Manufacturers of the Hellenic MOD” Certificate Number: 0020 and is also a member in good standing of TRACE International Inc.

AKMON S.A. has also been audited and approved by defense companies like ENVIRONICS OY, GDLS, OERLICON CONTRAVES, ZEISS, FAUN, AIS Ltd, BOEING etc.

In addition to acting in its capacity as a Greek agent, AKMON is a valuable source of information related to the market environment providing both-up-to date and reliable information. AKMON advises on Greek procurement procedures and strategy development. Support in the form of proposal development and preparation is available in the technical, financial, offset and co production areas.  Assistance during equipment delivery and acceptance and follow on support including engineering services are all part of AKMON΄s commitment to its clients.

AKMON has activated in the field of health.

Our company has successfully fulfilled contract the contract for the supply, installation, maintenance of the MOBILE HOSPITAL of Hellenic Army in Kabul- Afghanistan.

AKMON has also cooperated with VIDEX J.S.C. for the demilitarization and safe disposal of the antipersonnel mines of the Hellenic Army.

The last decade AKMON S.A. has successfully fulfilled various contracts concerning upgrade, rebuild, overhaul and maintenance of electrical - electronic military and civil products.
