The company also participates in a significant number of international programs, achieving high levels of local added value and supporting the Hellenic industrial sector by allocating a considerable number of contracts to local subcontractors. The most important of these activities include the participation in the co-production of the PATRIOT PAC-3 long range Air Defense System and the development of the respective test equipment. As a result of company’s know how in the specific weapon system, IDE has been awarded by NSPA a contract for the Maintenance, Repair & Support of the NATO systems as well as US PATRIOT Systems in Europe. Other programs of major participation include the Phase III upgrade of the HAWK medium range Air Defense System, the CROTALE short range Air Defense System, the ARTHUR Weapons Locating System, the Self Protection System for the Greek and International market of F-16 aircraft, the manufacturing of electronic modules of the AN/APG-68(V)9 radar for the F-16 aircraft to meet needs of the international market, the AGM-65G Maverick Air to Ground Missile and the PHALANX Close-In Weapon System. IDE also participated in the co-production of the Airborne Early Warning and Control System (ERIEYE), as well as in the co-production of various systems of the Leopard 2 HEL Main Battle Tank and the Howitzer 2000, which are also equipped with IDE’s products.

The company enhances its international presence in defense, by successfully participating in multinational development and production programs, such as the IRIS-T short range air-to-air missile, the IRIS-T SLM surface launched medium range, and in the Evolved Sea-Sparrow Missile (ESSM) program. IDE also participates in the Mid-Term modernization program of the NATO AWACS aircraft. Additionally, the company offers capability in maintenance, repair and upgrade of defense electronics equipment. As a result of its technological Know-how, Program Management, Quality Assurance system and System Development, IDE has established industrial agreements with leading defense manufacturers with high percentage in export activities.
