This service relates to the execution of non-destructive tests to identify possible defects in materials, in order to determine the need for maintenance or repair. The staff working in this department is ASNT level II qualified.

• Ultrasound: The ultrasound equipment is used to detect defects such as inclusions, cracks and flaws in all ferrous and nonferrous materials, to measure thickness and to control the quality of welded elements.

• Magnetic Particle, Wet and Dry, Penetrating Liquids:
   - W.M.P.I. – Non-destructive test method for wet magnetic particles.
   - LPTI - Non-destructive test method using penetrating inks.

• Internalscope: Equipment used to examine the inner diameters.

• Sonoscope: Equipment used for general inspection of the pipe body.

• Reface Equipment: Equipment used for the repair of seals in situ.

• Alloys and Materials Analyzer: Latest generation instrument to identify the chemical composition of materials in order to determine the type of soldering to be used.

Press with a 1000 tons capacity, unit recording, electronic control.

Maximum pressure 20,000 psi, for hydrostatic testing and BOP (Blow Out preventers) certification, valves, shock, piping, etc.  It is provided with high precision engines and multiple inputs to activate pistons and vacuum units in maximum working conditions. This unit has batteries, it has been designed to be portable and can be easily used for in situ tests.

6 burner natural gas oven with a 25 tons capacity in a 4.45 X 4.45 X 3.80 mt. area. And the possibility to install up to 29 thermocouples that can monitor the status of the treated parts.

Maintenance and repair of various types of equipment and machines such as: Casing Spider, Pelton Wheel, Top Drive, Shock Manifold, Masther Bushing. Recovery and repair of internal diameters up to 90”; cement industry, inspection and repair of structural nodes and supporting parts of cranes and transport equipment, repair of components  for power plants and pipelines.

Manufacture and production of special parts for the oil, electrical, transport and general industry based on international standards and / or customer specifications, according to the ISO Quality Standards and STAR OILFIELD SERVICES Ltd. Quality Policy.

STAR OILFIELD SERVICES is equipped with an advanced machining center. More specifically, the Company:

• Has the capacity to provide vertical machining services on pieces of up to 15 tons,
• Has the capacity to provide horizontal machining services on pieces of up to 12 tons,
• Is equipped with CNC lathes, machining centers, band saws, a radial drill press, a swedge press, and other ancillary machines,
• Has a CNC heat treatment oven 4mts x 4.5mts x 3mts up to 2,500F,
• Is equipped with Mig, Tig and Submerged arc welding capability,
• Has an induction furnace for up to 12” OD pieces,
• Has the capacity to perform pressure tests up to 20,000 psi,
• Has a 1,000 ton hydraulic press and grinding machinery,
• Has the capacity to provide Level II NDT inspection,
• Is equipped with an overhead crane with a 20-ton capacity,
• Is equipped with sandblasting equipment,
• Has over 800 measurement instruments,
• Has a fork lift capacity of up to 8 tons,
• Is equipped with engineering software packages, such as Solid Works, Gibbscam, Mastercam, and Autocad,
• Has nine full-time mechanical engineers,
• Has a fleet of seven trucks for the pickup and delivery of tools.
