ASOCIACION ARGENTINA DE TECNOLOGIA ESPACIAL (AATE) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Its goal is to promote and develop space activities in Argentina, in close cooperation with national and international entities. The AATE is open to new partnerships with organisations with similar interests from all over the world.

AATE was founded in 1987 after several years of meetings between its founding members and consists of professionals, technicians and engineers, as well as young space enthusiasts.

AATE has performed solid propulsion engine testing, a series of tests related to fluid mechanics in weightlessness aboard NASA’s KC-135, studies on capsules during atmospheric re-entry, as well as the electronic systems of stratospheric balloons for the purpose of future implementation on spacecraft.
