Covid-19–safe precautionary measures will be in place to facilitate what will be one of the first events in the international defence calendar since various lockdowns.
The call for conference papers is open now and commercial sponsors are sought to support what promises to be a truly exciting event and early opportunity to reboot the global defence community.

Between 1130hrs–1600hrs, Wednesday 2nd March, Hellenic Submariners’ Association will host “Greek Naval Defence Briefing: The Mediterranean: Laboratory for Naval Warfare” at the auspicious Armed Forces Officers Club in Athens.
The invitation-only function will encourage participating senior-level military and government leaders to discuss their specific operational challenges and technology requirements.
The precursor to Greece’s hosting of the sixteenth anniversary MAST conference and exhibition https://mastconfex.com/med2022/ , the half day event will focus on regional maritime defence platforms and systems requirements e.g. frigates; corvettes, MCM units, submarines, combat boats, LCS, etc.
After presentations, there will be time for Q&As, followed by an informal networking reception (including drinks and canapés) for participating dignitaries, invited VIPs, academia, heads of industry, and guests.
Confirmed MAST Med 2022 sponsors, exhibitors, and authors that have submitted conference abstracts, will also be welcome.

Call for papers
Authors hoping to present papers in the MAST Med 2022 https://mastconfex.com/med2022/ technical conference are requested to upload their abstract(s) now. https://mastconfex.com/papercall_med2022/
The MAST Technical Conference Committee https://mastconfex.com/committee_athens2022/ will meet in summer to adjudicate all abstracts, and allocate speakers to the final programme (an expected two/three parallel streams of sessions over three days).
Priority will be given to abstracts proposing solutions to the breadth of operational/technological challenges in the Mediterranean theatre from Sea, Air, Space, Cyber, and amphibious perspectives.
With nearly 2,000 international participants already registered, the event is guaranteed to give unparalleled exposure to presentations, at the first MAST conference since the Covid outbreak.
