Honda Canada Sets All-Time August Sales Record

MARKHAM, ON, Sept. 4, 2018 /CNW/ - Honda Canada Inc. today reported August sales of 18,623 Honda and Acura vehicles, up 1.5 percent from the previous year, setting an all-time record for August. The Honda Automobile Division reported August sales of 16,777 units sold, up 0.3 percent from the previous year, which also represents an August record. Acura Division reported August sales of 1,846 units, up 13.1 percent versus last year.
"Honda's light trucks carried the Honda brand to its best August sales ever," said Jean Marc Leclerc, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Honda Canada. "The CR-V posted its best August sales followed closely by the strong performance of the Ridgeline and Pilot, all while the Civic continues to hold its position as the best-selling passenger car in Canada."
"Acura is seeing a major boost by the all-new RDX, recording a third consecutive monthly sales record and introducing a new generation of buyers to the brand," said Emile Korkor, Senior Manager and Brand Leader, Acura Canada. "We're aiming to continue to build off that momentum in September by showcasing our lineup to a broad audience through sponsorships of marquee events across the country."
