NEW YORK, April 16, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Aviation Week Network,
an Informa business serving the global aviation, aerospace and defense
industries, has been honored for excellence in two new categories from the
Jesse H. Neal National Business Journalism Awards, the business-to-business
media equivalent of the Pulitzer Prizes.
The recognized work includes:
- Best Art Direction for a Cover: “SpaceX's Heavy Lift,” by Lisa Caputo, Scott Marshall and Colin Throm
- Best Art Direction of a Single Article: “Passing the Torch,” by Lisa Caputo, Scott Marshall, Colin Throm and Irene Klotz
The prestigious awards recognize Aviation Week & Space Technology in two new categories with brand revenue more than $7 million with criteria that clearly presents complex or compelling information, consistent with the audience, mission and voice of the publication.
Greg Hamilton, President, Aviation Week Network, said, “The Neal Awards are the most prestigious editorial honors in the field of specialized journalism. We're very proud of the editorial art and production team, who are committed to serve the essential and complex aviation and aerospace community with trusted and actionable information it needs to succeed."
In addition to the two category wins for Aviation Week Network, its sister brand, Nation’s Restaurant News (NRN), the leading media brand in the foodservice industry, has been named Best Media Brand and won Best Single Issue for its September 24, 2018 issue, which showcased a redesign of the magazine as well as “Teen Vision.”
In 2017, Aviation Week Network was recognized by the awards program as the best B2B media brand and also won a Grand Neal award.
The Jesse H. Neal Awards were
created by Connectiv in 1955 to recognize and reward editorial excellence
in business publications. The awards program is named after Connectiv's
first managing director, who remained active in promoting the B2B industry
throughout his life.
