Omnipress Announces Updates to CATALYST Abstract Management System Designed to Increase Value to Meeting Planners

MADISON, Wis., May 9, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Omnipress first launched its fourth-generation abstract and speaker management system, CATALYST®, in 2016. Designed specifically to address the most common challenges with managing a call for papers, CATALYST is a highly configurable system that provides unprecedented flexibility to meet an organization's customized workflows without the high price tag of custom development. Since the initial launch, Omnipress has continued to make significant investments in product updates and enhancements and has recently unveiled its newest set of features.

"For over 40 years, our focus has remained steadfast on helping our customers deliver the highest quality educational content to their attendees," states Jonny Popp, Omnipress General Manager. Our customers' needs are continually evolving, as is the technology landscape. To continue our mission, it's important that we maintain our investment in our people, products and services."

Increased integration has been a major focus for the Omnipress development team, both with third-party association and event management tools, and within CATALYST's own ecosystem. Sean Lawler, Omnipress Product Development Manager, summarizes the latest CATALYST developments as, "an effort to continually increase the value of CATALYST to our customers by providing a simpler and more seamless process from start to finish, meaning, from the initial call to the production of final, attendee-facing materials."

Some of the most notable product updates include:

Addition of a more robust content management system to CATALYST.
CATALYST has historically served as an abstract, speaker and schedule management tool. Now, it also features a more robust content management system. Meeting planners can manage all conference content, regardless of whether it was initially collected through CATALYST, in one system.

Seamless integration to attendee-facing materials.
With the addition of a more robust content management system, CATALYST now provides an even more seamless way to go from accepted content to published materials. After putting together the program schedule in CATALYST, meeting planners can directly publish their conference agenda to their website, to offline digital materials or to the mobile event app, making real-time updates as the schedule changes.

Scheduling tool updates and enhanced functionality
An updated interface and increased conflict detection capabilities make scheduling accepted content even easier.

Increased integrations with third-party tools: CATALYST now integrates with many of the major association management systems, as well as other third-party tools such as Authorize.net, Bluepay and iThenticate plagiarism detection software. Omnipress is also a recognized partner of the following technology providers: Community Brands, ACGI/Association Anywhere and Fuzion by Freeman.

Collect payment for submissions right from CATALYST.
For organizations that want to generate additional revenue and increase the quality of submissions, CATALYST now features payment collection functionality, with direct integration to Authorize.net and Bluepay for secure payment processing.

In light of these advancements, Popp points out that Omnipress remains steadfast in its focus on educational content. "There are an overwhelming number of event tech options on the market to help professionals manage nearly every aspect of their conference. We want to be sure that regardless of which tools they're using throughout their event, CATALYST makes it easier to source, select and produce the educational content that will bring attendees back."
