Plaintiff in LGBTQ+ v. Google/YouTube Lawsuit Glitter Bomb TV Launches GlitterWorthy(TM) Store

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 13, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Fans of content produced and designed by and for the LGBTQ+ community can now directly support creators, artists and nonprofits through a new GlitterWorthy(TM) online store located on GlitterBombTV.com. The San Francisco-based website is home to GNEWS!, an online news show ("where you get all your gay in just one day") that originally launched on YouTube more than five years ago. Its owners, Celso Dulay and Chris Knight, are a gay married couple and owners of Divino Group LLC, the first named plaintiff in a class action lawsuit: LGBTQ+ v. Google/YouTube, originally filed last summer.

For several years, LGBTQ+ creators on YouTube have allegedly been censored, demonetized, restricted and denied advertising by Google and YouTube. That has greatly limited the commercial viability and views of content which is produced by and for the LGBTQ+ community by the plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit.

"Our goals with the new GlitterWorthy online store are to boost LGBTQ+ visibility, celebrate the work of artists in our community, help monetize content through the sale of our products, and to raise money for LGBTQ+ nonprofits and causes that we as a collective group of creators and plaintiffs care about the most," said Celso Dulay, co-founder, host and executive producer for GlitterBombTV.com.

One of the first product lines being featured on the new GlitterWorthy online store is inspired by the plaintiffs taking a stand against alleged LGBTQ+ censorship and discrimination in the class action lawsuit filed in federal court. The Rainbow Coalition line will donate its proceeds (15 percent of total sales) to a rotating group of LGBTQ+ nonprofits selected by the plaintiffs' group each month. During February, those proceeds will be donated to The LGBT Asylum Project. A new nonprofit beneficiary will be announced on the 10th of every month in 2020.

The Rainbow Coalition logo - a rainbow fist with a pink triangle holding a microphone in the air - was designed by San Francisco artist Amp Somers with creative input from Cameron Stiehl and other plaintiffs in LGBTQ+ v. Google/YouTube.

The second LGBTQ+ artist whose work will be featured on the GlitterWorthy online store is Aquaboogie (a.k.a. Mackie Mason) who is co-located in San Diego and San Francisco. Her work is heavily influenced in character portrayal: exploring movement, body position and facial expression to tell each character's story. The first Aquaboogie designs include the new "Whore More!" and "ICONS" product lines.

"Whore More!" is an Aquaboogie illustration of a LeftCoastScenes' photo of Celso Dulay's debut in drag at "Powerblouse" - a monthly party at the Powerhouse bar and nightclub in San Francisco's SOMA district that is co-hosted by Juanita More and David Glamamore, two legendary drag performers. Every month, they transform a new ingenue on-stage.

The new GlitterWorthy Store will also feature a selection of Daftboy products, along with a growing variety of products created by or featuring LGBTQ+ artists who are deemed to be "glitter-worthy." Daftboy is an LGBTQ+ owned and operated fashion brand startup and e-commerce website based in San Francisco.
