Kolumbus AS intends to establish a dynamic purchasing system in order to procure vehicle sharing services.
The system will facilitate vehicle sharing to gain a solid foothold and quick growth at Nord-Jæren by establishing a network of shared (electric)vehicles that will be deployed at specific locations in collaboration with public and private actors. The vehicles in the network will be made digitally available for individuals and businesses through Kolumbus’ app, so other mobility services are also visible.
Kolumbus will not own the vehicles, but will instead take the role of marketing coordinator and facilitate good connections between area (property owner), shared vehicles (operators) and customers (residents) in a common network.

Kolumbus plans to announce a contest at the turn of the year 2020/2021 on vehicle fleet systems for Kolumbus, 'Car as a service', and thus invites tenderers to a dialogue conference. There will also be a chance for one-to-one meetings.

The target group for this dialogue conference is current and future mobility actors within car sharing and, in particular, tenderers of vehicle fleets for such car sharing services. We hope to see suppliers, operators, and companies that connect vehicle fleets with users and other companies that work within this domain, including potential collaboration partners that would also like to offer a fleet of vehicles to their customers, residents, tenants, etc. Established companies, start-up and innovators are all welcome to participate in the dialogue conference.
