Elitac enables wearable innovation in professional markets by offering solutions to integrate electronics in textiles.

Our core competences are:

1. The smooth, waterproof and stretchable integration of electronics in textiles;
2. TacOS operating system – The power of a smartphone in a shirt, with our in house developed operating system.
3. Physical interaction –  We use vibrations to bring the sense of touch into human – system interactions;
4. Physical interaction can be used to convey different types of information in an intuitive way as a replacement or in addition to audio and visual information.   

In 2013 Elitac won the Defence Innovation Competition (NL), to develop a wearable that allows soldiers to feel direction. Together with the Royal Netherlands Army, Elitac has been further developing this wearable, that intuitively present information to the wearer. The tactile display allows soldiers to keep eyes and ears free to observe the environment and to communicate. Besides waypoint navigation, the Elitac wearables can be used for alarming, communication and vehicle navigation.
